Which Model Do I Have?
- Prostat+ PSP2270: a small button-and-display thermostat, no touchscreen — simple backlit digits with WARMER/COOLER/MODE/FAN buttons.
- Prostat+ PSP4272RT: a 4.3" full-color touchscreen with Menu, Home/Away and a drop-down weather dashboard, but no humidity reading on the home screen.
- Prostat+ PSP4273RT: looks identical to the PSP4272RT, but its home screen and dashboard also show an indoor humidity reading — that’s the quickest way to tell them apart.

Which Equipment They Work With
Prostat+ PSP2270
Conventional or heat pump systems with up to 2 heat and 2 cool stages, with independently adjustable staging.
Prostat+ PSP4272RT
Conventional or heat pump systems with up to 4 heat and 2 cool stages; dual-fuel capable.
Prostat+ PSP4273RT
The same staging as the PSP4272RT, plus a programmable AUX output for a humidifier or dehumidifier (or an additional heat stage if you don’t need humidity control).
Smart Features You Can Turn On
- 7-day programmable schedule, saved through power loss, on all three models.
- Built-in Wi-Fi on all three for remote access through the ProStat+ web portal and app, plus geofencing and smart recovery.
- Support for wireless remote sensors, averaged with the thermostat’s own reading.
- A lock to prevent accidental changes — a button combination on the PSP2270, or a passcode-protected Auto Screenlock on the touchscreen PSP4272RT and PSP4273RT.

ProStat Thermostat Help FAQs
What’s the difference between the three models?
The PSP2270 is a simpler button-and-display thermostat (2 Heat/2 Cool). The PSP4272RT and PSP4273RT are 4.3" touchscreens with 4 Heat/2 Cool staging; the PSP4273RT additionally has built-in humidity control and a programmable AUX output that the PSP4272RT doesn’t have.
Do I need Wi-Fi for these thermostats to work?
No. Scheduling and manual controls work without it on all three models; Wi-Fi is only needed for the ProStat+ Web Portal, geofencing and remote access.
Will my schedule survive a power outage?
Yes, program settings are saved in non-volatile memory and persist through a power loss.
Who do I call if the thermostat shows an equipment alert?
Call Rest Assured HVAC at (847) 224-2420 — a condensate overflow or equipment fault alert usually points to something worth a technician’s look, not a setting to adjust.
