What Amana’s Warranty Covers
Coverage below applies to Amana brand systems installed on or after October 1, 2026. Registration is what unlocks the longer Limited Warranty terms, so don’t skip it. Manufacturer warranties don’t cover labor, but an Asure℠ Extended Service Plan can add it.

What’s New as of October 1, 2026
Amana updated its warranty for systems installed on or after October 1, 2026. Here’s what changed.
20-Year Heat Exchanger
The registered heat exchanger warranty on gas furnaces and packaged gas/electric units is now 20 years, replacing Lifetime coverage.
10-Year Unregistered Heat Exchanger
Without registration, heat exchanger coverage is now 10 years, down from 20.
New ASURE Plan Terms
One-Time Unit Replacement now covers years 11–15 on S-Series equipment and years 1–5 on select packaged units, instead of years 11–99.
Rental Homes Now Qualify
Multi-family and non-owner-occupied homes can now get the registered 10-Year Parts and 20-Year Heat Exchanger Limited Warranties.

Manufacturer warranties cover parts, not labor. An Asure℠ Extended Service Plan adds coverage for parts, labor or both, depending on the plan you choose.

No Deductible
Asure plans are backed by the manufacturer, not a third-party administrator, and you’ll never face a deductible.
Plans are for owner-occupied homes and are purchased for each unit, so an air conditioner and a furnace each get their own plan. They cover failures from manufacturing defects, not routine maintenance, and are available only through an authorized Asure dealer like Rest Assured HVAC. Registration is required for the 10-Year Parts, 10-Year Unit Replacement and 20-Year Heat Exchanger Limited Warranties, except in states and provinces that don’t allow coverage to be conditioned on registration.

Amana Warranty FAQs
Is homeowner registration still required?
Yes. Online registration within 60 days of installation is required to receive the 10-Year Parts, 10-Year Unit Replacement and 20-Year Heat Exchanger Limited Warranties, except in states and provinces that do not allow warranty coverage to be conditioned on registration.
Does the Amana warranty cover labor?
No. Manufacturer warranties don’t cover labor, and Amana’s is no exception. An Asure℠ Extended Service Plan adds 5 or 10 years of labor coverage, or 10 years of parts and labor, on Amana equipment. We’ll go over the options when we quote your system.
Which models qualify for the ASURE One-Time Unit Replacement plan?
S-Series air conditioners and heat pumps (AXV9S, AXV6S, AZV9S, AZV7S and AZV6S) qualify for years 11–15. Select packaged units (APHH5, APHM5 and APGM5) qualify for years 1–5.
Do rental properties and multi-family homes get the registered warranty?
Yes. For systems installed on or after October 1, 2026, multi-family and non-owner-occupied homes receive the 10-Year Parts Limited Warranty, plus the 20-Year Heat Exchanger Limited Warranty on furnaces and packaged gas/electric units, when registered within 60 days. Commercial applications receive the initial term warranty of 5-Year Parts, plus a 10-Year Heat Exchanger where applicable.
My system was installed before October 1, 2026. Does this change my warranty?
No. Your coverage is based on the terms in effect when your system was installed. See the prior warranty terms below for systems installed April 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026.

On April 1, 2025, law and regulation changes regarding product registration requirements brought the following changes for new purchases and installations:
- Limited Lifetime Unit Replacement coverage transitioned to a 10-year one-time unit replacement for the original registered homeowner.
- Lifetime Heat Exchanger coverage continued as a registered Limited Warranty, with a one-time heat exchanger replacement in years 21–99 for the original registered homeowner.
- Lifetime Unit Replacement and Lifetime Compressor coverage became available on select models as a non-transferable ASURE Extended Service Agreement (ESA) purchase option.
- Registration remained required for Limited Warranty coverage (10-Year Parts, 10-Year Unit Replacement, Lifetime Heat Exchanger), except in certain jurisdictions.
Prior ESA Questions
Does an ESA plan cover the whole system?
No. An ESA plan must be purchased for each unit needing coverage. For example, a condenser and a furnace would require 2 ESA plans.
Does the 11–99 Year Unit Replacement ESA only apply if the compressor or heat exchanger fails?
Yes, unit replacement coverage only applies to compressor or heat exchanger failure.
Did a customer need both the 11–99 Year Unit Replacement ESA and the 11–99 Year Compressor coverage?
The 11–99 Year Unit Replacement ESA covers either a full unit replacement if the compressor fails OR a compressor-only replacement, not both, up to 1 time. For up to 1 unit replacement AND up to 1 compressor replacement in years 11–99, both plans are needed.
Does the 11–99 Year Unit Replacement cover other parts of the system, such as a coil or air handler?
No, unit replacement coverage only provides a new unit to replace the failed unit. Because new R-410A units are no longer available while R-410A compressors still are, a compressor-only replacement may be the better choice if matching indoor components can’t be purchased.
Are the 11–99 Year plans transferable?
No, coverage is only for the original homeowner on the ESA.
